Main / Expeditions / Caucasus 2008 Caucasus 2008The period called “Gold Autumn” can be named the most beautiful season. During this period there are several days of wonderful weather with the name “Babie leto” (Indian summer). It is a fair statement for almost the whole territory of Russia. And the Caucasus isn’t an exception: I was convinced of it in October 2008.
After a long expedition in Magadan region nearly at once I had to start preparations for a new trip. It was also an order from the Publishing house. Photo shooting was required to be held not only in the Caucasus, but in Krasnodar Territory as well. And the most beautiful places on this territory are located in the area of the Preserve. I was convinced of it during my trip to the Preserve in June 2006.
Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to come to an agreement with the direction about a long route. So I had to be satisfied by a short and paid one. The start was in Krasnaya Polyana, then there were cordon Pslukh, Kogot’ Mount, Bzerlinsky Cornice and Kholodny Shelter. From the shelter we went to Semiozerie. Then from the shelter through the cornice we came back to Krasnaya Polyana.
In spite of the shortage of the route, good materials were collected. More detailed narration of this trip could be read in the article “Snow Lady”.
