India - Nepal 2001

It was very symbolic to begin the new millennium visiting India, a country that traditionally attractive for the Russians. “An expedition for mental and creative development” – this name was given by Yuri Mikhailovich Klyuchnikov, a famous in certain circles writer and a preacher of Rerikh’s studies. Yuri Mikhailovich led us through the whole route and acted as a guide. Our group consisted of 17 people from different towns and cities of Russia from Vladivostok to Moscow. We rented a tourist bus in Deli and went 6000 kilometres through the Northern India with visit to Nepal. We visited all the places that are connected with Buddha’s life. Also we were in Rerikh’s estate in the Himalayas. It is worth mentioning that during this trip I changed my favorite genre of landscapes. They are not so interesting and fade near unusual people colouring that draw your attention first of all. You can read about the travel in the article «Contemporary walking over three seas».
