Caucasian nursery 2006

A small trip to Caucasian nursery before a serious expedition. Nevertheless it left good impressions, the main of which is a number of animals we managed to see during 10-days route, especially at the foot of the Djuga mountain. There are chamoises, goats, bears and of course bisons, who the nursery was created for. The preserve is rather big and situated in the areas of the Krasnodar Territory, Adygeya, Karachai-Cherkess, it has a boundary with Abkhazia. Our photo expedition was held with the assistance of the preserve’s director Shevelev Sergei Georgievich and participation of a research officer from Maikop administration Sergei Trepet, who led us through interesting places by paths of the nursery. The route contributed near 100 kilometres, we went from Guzerpil in Adygeya to Krasnaya Polyana in the Krasnodar Territory. In that way we passed the Caucasian mountain range. During the route I was accompanied with a fellow – Yuri Morozov.
